Masterclass (4h) — Thoracic (T1–T12) & Lumbar (L1–L5) HVLA This intensive 4-hour masterclass is dedicated to mastering HVT structural manipulations across the thoracic spine (T1–T12) and lumbar spine (L1–L5). It is designed for licensed osteopaths and physiotherapists who wish to refine their technical precision, refresh their manual skills, and gain greater confidence with safe, effective manipulations. Learning outcomes Review and apply essential mobility tests and diagnostic parameters for thoracic and lumbar segments. Master supine manipulations for upper, mid, and lower thoracic vertebrae. Develop proficiency with cross-hand HVLA techniques for the mid-thoracic region. Integrate prone thoracic manipulations, particularly for the upper levels. Build confidence in lumbar HVLA: set-ups, locking, thrust vectors, dosage, and safety checks. Improve fluidity, contact precision, and adaptability to varied patient morphologies. Methodology Each technique is demonstrated and practiced step by step, with a clear focus on practitioner positioning, spinal locking, thrust vector, and dosage. Emphasis is placed on smooth execution, biomechanical accuracy, and respectful patient handling.
